Terms of use
These terms describe use of The Flying Boy of VYN-5, provided by Edwin Chan. Contact: c.edwin2011@gmail.com. By using the game, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the game.
1. Eligibility and the app licence
The game is intended for players aged 13 and older. If you are below the age at which you can enter a binding agreement where you live, use the game only with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. Follow any higher local age requirement.
The licence applicable to your App Store download governs your right to use the app. Where no custom licence is supplied in the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement applies. These terms supplement that licence for gameplay and related services; they do not replace it or reduce mandatory consumer rights.
2. Fair use
Use the game for lawful personal entertainment. Do not manipulate purchases or leaderboard scores, exploit bugs to interfere with other players, disrupt services, bypass access controls, or infringe others’ rights. Restrictions on copying, modifying, or reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law and the applicable software licences.
The game’s characters, artwork, music, code, and branding belong to their respective rights holders. Playing or purchasing access does not transfer ownership of those materials.
3. Pro purchases and restoration
The game offers a one-time, non-consumable Pro full-game purchase. The price and purchase details appear in Apple’s purchase interface before confirmation. Pro unlocks paid campaign access. Campaign stages still require progression; purchasing Pro does not grant stage clears.
“Lifetime” describes a one-time entitlement to the full-game product, rather than a recurring subscription. It is not a promise that online services, every future separate product, or compatibility with every future device will be available forever.
Apple handles payment. Use Restore Purchase with the Apple Account used for the original purchase to restore eligible access. Restoration depends on a valid purchase record and service availability. For refunds, use Apple’s refund process. Refund eligibility follows Apple’s policies and applicable law; nothing here excludes a legal right to a refund or other remedy.
4. Virtual progress
Defeat ends the current run. Starting a new run is free.
Scores, research points, unlocks, and other virtual progress have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money. Progress may be stored locally and can be lost if app data is deleted or a device is changed. Restoring a purchase does not necessarily restore gameplay progress.
5. Game Center and other services
Leaderboards, purchases, analytics, crash reporting, and other connected features depend on Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and network availability. Their applicable terms and privacy policies govern their services. You are responsible for your platform account and for content you choose to share. You may share your own gameplay highlights for personal, commentary, and community purposes, subject to third-party rights and platform rules; this does not grant ownership of game assets.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy policy explains local data, analytics, crash reporting, purchases, Game Center, recordings, and privacy requests. Agreement to these terms does not substitute for any separate consent required by law.
7. Updates, availability, and misuse
We may update the game to fix issues, change balance, improve features, or meet platform requirements. Connected services may experience interruptions. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, but statutory obligations and remedies still apply.
Where reasonably necessary to address serious misuse or unlawful conduct, we may restrict affected online features, subject to applicable law. You can stop using the game at any time. Changes or restrictions do not remove any mandatory rights attached to a purchase.
8. Responsibility and consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, the game and connected features are provided as available, without additional guarantees beyond those required by law or expressly offered. Applicable licence terms address warranties and liability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights relating to defective digital content, fraud, or other mandatory protections.
9. Changes and disputes
We may revise these terms and update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued purchase or consumer rights. Contact c.edwin2011@gmail.com about a problem so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require arbitration or prevent you from using courts or consumer remedies available under applicable law.
